BIOGRAPHY

Lora is a Visual Artist specializing in graphic design and photography based in Toronto. She is fascinated by experimental image-making and the incorporation of analog practices with digital mediums.  Her recent interest is focused on the intersection where studies of Ancient History collide with the Digital Age of technology and design.

Lora recently graduated from the University of Toronto (UofT), earning her degree (B.A.) in Art History and Classical Civilizations as a Dean's List Scholar with High Distinction. The rigours of academic study have not only provided her with a profound appreciation for art but have, more importantly, given her the tools to form critical perspectives in theory, philosophy, and visual analysis.

Furthermore, Lora has taken numerous studio courses from Sheridan College, OCAD University, and the Animation Portfolio Workshop (APW). Her extracurricular activities include(d): Creative Direction for the History of Art Students' Association (HASA) at UofT from 2019-2021, editing for a forthcoming publication Beyond Verisimilitude: Unscrolling Facsimiles of Chinese Masterpieces, working as a motion picture film technician with the International Alliance of Theater and Stage Engineers (IATSE Local 873), and working as a freelance Graphic Designer and Photographer.

CREATIVE VISION

Curiosity played, is playing, and will continue to play an integral role in Lora’s creative vision. She believes that the formulation of good ideas is not a matter of chance, but the product of contemplation, struggle, and a resilient attitude. Grit and elegance are what encapsulate her passion for visual expression.
